We've got a live one! Our 12 week doctor's appointment went smoothly. My parents came and we all heard the baby's heartbeat. Everything is going as it should and now we just wait another 4 weeks for our next appointment.
I had gained 3 pounds from the 6 week mark to the 8 week appointment but lost it by the 12 week appointment. We were told my metabolism increases during this time so considering I’ve literally been eating for two that has to be the reason. Even though the weight gain is non-existent, Ted said I looked like I had “a serious case of the munchies” and my pants are much tighter, so the weight is definitely shifting towards the belly region. Thankfully Grandma took me maternity clothes shopping so I’ll be ready for when my pants don’t fit. I also invested in a belly band so I can wear my normal pants unbuttoned and they won’t fall down – it is pretty awesome!

we are so excited and glad you heard a strong heartbeat--that means we are definitely going to be grandparents again.
Wear those maternity clothes and be comfortable.
