Here is how it works. You get veto power over any name you dislike, why you ask, well, it would really suck to have your kid named after someone you dislike or thought poorly of at some time in your life. No one wants a reminder of that. A few of my names that didn't make the cut were Holly and Samantha and Ted's names that I vetoed were Madeline and Isabel (mostly because I think Maddie and Bella are overused). A few names we did agree on were Eleanor (Ellie), Zoe, Avery and last but not least, the name we have actually chosen!
I've convinced Ted that we should start referring to her as her name to make sure we like it before she is born. I also want to have the name 100% decided before we tell people. This name was a top 20 popular name (as stated by the Social Security office) from 2000 to 2007 but has since fallen off the chart. I only know of one person with this name and I don't even know her personally, so it is unique to us.

Ah man, I hate the waiting game!! I want to know NOW! I'm going to think about it until the big reveal. Can't wait. I still liked the colors of green idea...
