She's 1!

Our little lady turned the big O-N-E on Saturday.  We celebrated with family and friends a few weeks ago (I still need to get photos from my mom for a blog post), but we still tried to make her feel special on her big day.  Here are weekend photos and her 12 month photos.

We thought a birthday cookie was appropriate.

She was unsure at first.

But then realized how yummy it was and ate the whole thing!

Then we Skyped with our Kentucky family.  G's cousins sang her Happy Birthday.

Then we took a more relaxed approach to our photo sessions.

Because this lady has her own agenda.

Everything is better without pants :)

This was the first time G went from the ground to a full standing position without holding onto anything.  We were really impressed.  I wouldn't say she is a walker, but she is standing a lot more unassisted and when she does walk, she is catching her balance more instead of just falling.

We bought a a Living Social coupon for the Picture People who work inside Buy Buy Baby.  G didn't want to be doing this, but there are a few good pictures in the following.

This is the one we had printed.

G's first day of "school" was today.  She was the first to arrive in her room and the toys quickly made her feel okay with us leaving.

1 year went fast and we're excited to see what G's next year brings.
