Edward Roney Green III will make his appearance in July. We had an ultrasound on Friday which was pretty rough. We had a new ultrasound tech that told Ted (I was in the bathroom) that this was only her second time doing this solo and she didn't want to ask for help. Luckily, she knew we were not going to leave without knowing the sex, so she pulled in someone to assist with that, but a call from my doctor's office revealed she wasn't able to locate certain organs, like the kidneys, so I'll have to go back and get another ultrasound. The ultrasound tech thought the baby's measurements were showing a due date of July 16th, but I'll wait until the next ultrasound to confirm. So as of today, I am either 19 weeks and 3 days or 18 weeks and 4 days. We only got two ultrasound pictures to take home which my mom is scanning and sending to me so stay tuned.
Ted and I are not ones to wait on big decisions like what to name our child. Naming our son after Ted and his dad was the logical choice, but the decision didn't stop there. In true Green fashion, we now needed a nickname for our son. Ned and Ted are off the table so we flirted with names like Eddie, Ward, Red, Jed, Roney, Trace and Tripp and through our usual process of hating the other person's ideas we both agreed upon Chip. I guess this is a common nickname when being named after a parent because it reflects the adage "chip off the old block".
Grace and I went to the park yesterday with Heather and Paxton. I think Grace is ready for a brother because they had such a good time!
