A few weeks ago we took our first family vacation to Florida! Here are the highlights.
| G's first plane ride. We were lucky enough to get the entire row for every flight. |
| The last leg of our last flight back to KC (not pictured), G had a total melt down because she just couldn't seem to sleep during these flights. After a 10 minute screaming session, she finally fell asleep on my shoulder. We've never felt so helpless. |
| She didn't sleep on the plane at all, but she would take naps during our layovers. |
| She has a puff stuck on her face. We thought it was funny. |
| G's first time on the beach. |
| She doesn't love it. |
| G's cute suit and hat. |
| She hates the hat, but it has a Velcro strap that makes it impossible for her to get it off without my help. |
| G playing on the beach. Ted bought her beach toys. See the shovel? |
| Ted in the ocean. I entered the ocean briefly, saw a huge jellyfish and never went back. |
| We went to Miami. |
| Ate at a delicious Cuban restaurant. |
| G looked at herself in the mirror. It was cute. |
| Ted's uncle works at a restaurant so nice they don't have high chairs. He said it was cool if we brought G. |
| She had fun looking in the mirror behind the booth. |
| The dinner was delicious! Ted's aunt Kim and uncle Kevin live in Palm Beach and it was great to see family while we were there! We also dined with them earlier in the week at a yummy seafood joint. |
| Our bargain rental car. We got off the rental shuttle bus and they said "choose any color you want", like it mattered. I don't even think Ford makes crown vics any more, but Budget rental sure did have a fleet of them! |
Ahh...vacations are nice and so is coming home and getting back into our routine.

hope you guys had fun!
Fun! You guys were so brave to take her on a plane, but I love it because you give us hope:) I can't believe how big she is getting already!
Glad I wasn't sitting close to you guys on that flight...especially during that screaming session! LOL Sage advice from "been there done that"...save your money till she's older and you all can enjoy your family vacations. Visit destinations close to home and drivable..easier and cheaper for everyone. We learned the hard way. She sure is a doll though and getting so big. xxoo
Sheila - you are SO right! BUT we never would have believed you until we experienced it first hand. Future vacations will be shorter in duration and sans children OR close to home and driveable like you said.
